🏈⚽🏃‍♀️ Fall sports season is in full swing, and young athletes are giving it their all!

But sometimes that "everything" can be a little too much. Many young players get sidelined not by dramatic tackles or big falls, but by sneaky overuse injuries. You know the ones: that knee that's been "kinda sore" for weeks, or the shoulder that aches after every practice.

The good news? Most of these injuries are totally preventable! 🙌 From following the simple 10% rule (don't increase training by more than 10% each week) to taking those rest days seriously, small changes can keep your kids healthy and on the field all season long.

Remember: pain isn't something to "tough out" - it's your body's way of waving a red flag! 🚩

Wondering how you can minimize the germs your kids are exposed to at school (and bring home to you)? There are lots of small things you can teach them to curb the spread of colds, flu, RSV and other fall illnesses:

✅ Teach them to thoroughly wash their hands throughout the day — for 20+ seconds.
✅ Make sure they know not to share drinks or snacks.
✅ Show them how to cough and sneeze into elbows, or into a tissue, instead of their hands or — eww — uncovered.
✅ Keep sick kiddos home to prevent spreading illness to others and getting reinfected.

Ahhh, spring! There might still be some nasty weather here and there, but as things warm up, we get to venture out and enjoy more of our favorite outdoor activities.
