I’m excited to offer the MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It!) Healthy Together Program for kids and families!

This FREE program is designed to help families:
✔ Build confidence around healthy habits
✔ Get active together in a fun, realistic way
✔ Learn how to make nutritious (and delicious!) food choices
✔ Create lasting lifestyle changes—without focusing on weight alone

MEND is all about small, sustainable changes that add up over time. Families learn together, support each other, and have fun along the way.
✨ Led by a Registered Dietitian with support from physical activity experts
✨ No doctor’s referral needed
✨ Open to families ready to make positive changes together

Many of the kiddos who engage in play therapy with me love this program (& I love volunteering each summer)! 🐴

Our 2026 Butte Special Riders sessions are set and our planning for this summer is in full swing!

Session 1: June 8, 15, 22, and 29
Session 2: July 13, 20, 27, and August 3

Daily sessions are held on the days listed above (Mondays) at 9:00 AM, 9:45 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11:15 AM, with riders assigned a 45-minute time slot based on ability and age.

During the session, each student is paired with a BSR horse and supported by volunteers, while an instructor leads them through lessons and exercises. With this support, students learn to communicate with and guide their horses using voice, sound, body language, and touch.

We are looking forward to another season at the barn and cannot wait to see both new and returning riders.
