April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Blacktail Health wants to highlight the Child Evaluation Center (CEC) in Butte, a Nationally Accredited Children's Advocacy Center.

The CEC has 3 locations, Butte, Dillon, and Anaconda. They provide immediate investigative support to law enforcement and child protective services in a trauma informed, supportive environment.

🌟 Big news and high honors from our Butte Child Evaluation Center! 🌟

We are thrilled to share that Blacktail Health's Butte Child Evaluation Center has been named the 2026 Spring Program Highlight by the Montana Board of Crime Control.

“We are honored to receive this distinction. It shows that our hard work is having an impact on the children and families in our community,” said Marisa McKee, a CEC advocate for Blacktail Health. “In Montana, Butte is one of only nine nationally accredited programs providing services like these.”

Supporting the communities we live and work in is an important part of what we do.

I was glad to help support Blacktail Health by providing candy for them to hand out during the St. Patrick’s Day parade here in Butte. It was a simple way to support a local nonprofit while they connected with community members during a great local tradition.
