Shorter days, colder weather, and busy schedules can take a toll on mental health. For some, it’s more than the “winter blues.” Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that can affect mood, energy, sleep, and daily life.

Signs can look different for everyone—feeling low most of the day, losing interest in things you enjoy, changes in sleep or appetite, or struggling to get through everyday tasks. And these feelings can affect not just you, but the people around you.

The good news: SAD is treatable. Support may include light therapy, counseling, healthy routines, and, when needed, medication. Small steps—like getting outside during daylight, prioritizing sleep, and setting realistic expectations—can also help.

💙 If your mood is interfering with daily life, don’t brush it off. Support is available, and asking for help is a sign of strength.

Their compassion made a difference across southwest Montana, and we’re grateful for the chance to serve and support this amazing community. 💙🙌

#2 Top Moment of the Year: Reflecting on an incredible year, we have to highlight this unforgettable act of heroism! When Ralph Boerner collapsed at the gym, Wil Allen and the first responders didn’t hesitate—they performed CPR for over ten minutes until emergency services arrived with an AED and brought him back. Their quick thinking and teamwork truly saved a life. Thank you, Wil and our local heroes, for being there when it mattered most. 💙🚑

#3 Top Moment of the Year: When a simple check-in turned into a lifesaving event! After a routine call from Becky Wozniak, NP, Denny Morgan—who felt perfectly fine—came in for a visit and discovered he had a 95% heart blockage. Thanks to Dr. Carlos Albrecht’s quick actions, Denny was airlifted and received open-heart surgery, including valve replacements and a triple bypass. Grateful for the care, teamwork, and quick thinking that made all the difference. 💙🚁❤️
