Meet our Instructor 🦋Sam Fisher🦋

Hi all, I’m Sam!
I teach a Yin yoga class incorporating Sound Healing at Rooted Tribe, Mondays at 4pm.

My yoga journey started in 2019 and has led me to beautiful places in life, provided healing for myself and others, and continues to provide learning at every step along the way!
Natural healing is my true passion in life! From yoga, meditation, reiki, & nature itself.

🤍Yin yoga is a slow practice focusing on rest and healing for the body and mind. By holding poses for minutes at a time your body can heal facia, allowing for an increased range of motion over time.

🤍 Sound Healing is a natural form of healing that aids in stress and anxiety reduction, sleep, pain management, emotional balance, deep relaxation, & more!
⚡️I use crystal singing bowls that create vibrations & frequencies that interact and flow deep into the body and mind. Now imagine that with slow yin yoga?! 🤩

Off the mat and out of the studio…

👩🏼‍💼I work an adult job that I love!
✨I practice Reiki & Shamanic healing
🌄 I love being in nature, whether it be traveling, laying in a hammock, backpacking, hiking, Harley riding, walks with my dog, kayaking, or soaking at a hot springs
📚 I am in my book era and am open to some good reads!

Do you ever notice how much activity and fun we can Jam Pack into 3 months? When the summer hits, we hit the ground running🏃, which can cause stress to the nervous system, so don’t forget to give your Adrenals a little LOVE🧡
🍊Adrenal Glands are located just above your kidneys, the adrenal glands work to regulate hormones like cortisol, aldosterone and adrenaline, that serve vital functions in your body. They control your energy levels as well as your flight of flight response. It is what makes your heart rate increase and blood pressure rise when you are under stress.
As long as these hormones remain balanced, your body feels good and energized and ready to respond to danger, but an imbalance causes a host of symptoms. In order to maintain a healthy hormonal balance, a key to healthy adrenal glands, you must also keep your mineral intake balanced.
🍊An adrenal cocktail, on the other hand, hypothetically would work to restore the balance in minerals, not make them more unbalanced. This cocktail I added to my Chai Pudding to make a meal.
Orange juice (make sure it's REAL orange juice and not full of sugar and other stuff) provides the vitamin C needed to help your body heal your body from stress-related damage. It also supports the liver in absorbing glucose, which it needs for its regeneration. Your adrenal glands can store and use vitamin C to make their hormones.😮
🧂Sea salt does not contain iodine and contains trace minerals that your body needs for electrolytes.
🤍Cream of tartar, the common name for potassium bitartrate, is high in potassium, containing 14% of your daily value in a teaspoon.
🧡The adrenal cocktail is real food, a great way to quickly provide your body with the nutrients it needs to support the adrenals and combat stress and mineral depletion.

Meet our Instructor… Sarah Semsak, who leads HIIT class Fridays at 8:30am💪🏻🔥💦

Hello everyone I’m Sarah. I have been coming to Rooted Tribe for about 3 years now. I wanted to try a completely different gym and environment after injuring myself. I started teaching HIIT a year ago. Stepping into the gym helps take the edge off. Ever since I started teaching I’ve learned a lot about myself and others in my classes. I 100% believe I learn more from the people in my class then they do from me. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance and I’ve always had a passion for working out. When I’m not in the weight room you can find me at the lake or traveling the globe 🌎 💛
