Freyja’s Apothecary
In December of 2014 I had a conversation with my friend about wanting to start making “witchy, potiony stuff”. So I started a secret group on Facebook to connect with likeminded people to share recipes and personal experiences with making those things. About 6 months later I met an awesome gal that approached me about starting a green company. We’ve been working together since November making all natural bath and body products. Lynda has a certain vision for the company and is taking her time to make it just so. I had ants in my pants and was anxious to get this stuff into people’s hands. So Lynda and I have decided that I would go on and do my own thing. I have been developing the line for a couple of years now and still love it!! So I now introduce to you…
Freyja’s Apothecary
In Norse mythology, Freya/Freyja (/ˈfreɪə/; Old Norse for "(the) Lady") is a goddess associated with love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, war, and death. Apothecary is an old term for making medicine with herbs. While I do not make medicine, I do make items that are for the energetic body with all natural plant materials with the intention being for the highest vibration possible. These products are infused with energy. I believe intention is held in liquids, so as I stir the ingredients in the liquid state, I set my intention and infuse it with the highest possible vibration with lots of other yumming intentions to go along with it dependent on what I am making. Amber Butter Perfume is made with comfort, love and joy energy. About Me:
I consider myself part gypsy, part alchemist, part mermaid and part cowgirl. I have been doing tarot cards, astrology, healing work, dowsing, organizing and teaching for years. I work part-time at a metaphysical gift shop that I also teach at and have a new passion in Freyja’s Apothecary. I live with my husband and cat in a small apartment in Portland, Maine whom are incredibly supportive and love how good the house now smells!
