The new facility, located near the Trinity Health Medical Center in Byron Center, accommodates up to 96 adult and geriatric beds. The hospital employs approximately 170 full-time and part-time employees including physicians, nurses, therapists, mental health techn

icians, administration, dietary and housekeeping personnel. Physicians are on the medical staff of Southridge Behavioral Hospital, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Southridge Behavioral Hospital. Southridge Behavioral Hospital is now open and accepting patients!

Southridge Behavioral Hospital incorporates modern, innovative, and evidence-based care focused on individual needs, comfort, and safety. The new facility, located near the Trinity Health Medical Center in Byron Center, accommodates up to 96 adult and geriatric beds.

Inpatient psychiatric treatment is available for adults struggling with mental health issues that require 24-hour care. Our patient-centered care is tailored to individual patient needs.

Southridge Behavioral Hospital will offer multiple levels of outpatient care when outpatient programs launch later this year. If you need outpatient care now, you can visit our sister-facility, Branches Grand Rapids.

Southridge Behavioral Health is proud to be part of the Behavioral Health Michigan network, which provides referring providers and patients with easy access to a full spectrum of behavioral health services in Michigan.

Together we have imagined, built and believed in this project. This week, we officially cut the ribbon on the new Southridge Behavioral Hospital, located in Byron Center, MI. Leaders from Trinity Health and UHS convened along with 150+ community partners, staff members, healthcare providers, EMS and guests to commemorate this special day. Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a place where healing begins, hope is restored and lives are transformed. Thank you to our construction partners EV Construction for the beautiful new facility where compassionate care will be delivered.

Today, we’re highlighting CFO Richard England. Richard obtained a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance from Oregon State University in 1975. He later received his MBA in Finance in 1985. He later received his MBA in Finance in 1985 from City University of Seattle. During that time, students called the school Portland City University because it was located in Portland, Oregon.

He was a Financial Analyst/Reimbursement for Kaiser Permanente from 1977-1985, and shortly after, was a Director, Controller and CFO for Acute Care Systems. Richard has over 30 years of experience being a CFO, and we couldn’t be happier to have Richard on our team! In Richard’s spare time, he enjoys the outdoors.
