Cabot High School students through the Medical Applications of Science for Health (MASH) program, learned alongside Unity Health, NorthStar EMS and UAMS professionals this week, as they participated in a stroke simulation within the Emergency Department at Unity Health - White County Medical Center. Equipping the next generation with the tools and knowledge to care for stroke patients, these students learned the importance to BE FAST when treating a stroke.

Unity Health is proud to recognize our first BEE Award honorees! The BEE Award honors and celebrates the exceptional work that our healthcare professionals do every day. These finalist were awarded based on the compelling stories shared. The BEE Award was inspired by the DAISY Award, which recognizes nurses for providing exceptional care. Just as a daisy and a bee complement each other in nature, our caregivers support one another in providing the best care for our patients. One patient shared the following story about Joanna: "I started going to counseling April 2022. My therapist Joanna has helped me with my depression and anxiety with some coping skills... I finally feel some relief some weight off my shoulders.... My therapist room is a very calming atmosphere to talk in and to try to have some relaxation after off-loading my thoughts and stresses."
