“Jesus- man’s best friend, has conquered death- man’s worst enemy.”

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death I sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:55-57)

Good morning. As we take time to reflect on all the Lord Jesus did for us, I pray and trust you will have a very blessed time. May we take the time to reflect on Christ’s great sacrifice and glorious resurrection for us. May we understand and appreciate His amazing love, and rejoice in His glorious power! Arguably the 6 greatest words ever spoken were spoken 2,000 years ago at the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. The first 3 “It is finished”, redemptions price has been paid, and “He is risen”, He has conquered death, and hell, and grave for us.

I am often reminded that the hymn writers often say it best, and I enjoy referencing them. One of my favorites says this:
“Living, He loved me;
Dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever:
One day He’s coming- oh glorious day!”
(J. Wilbur Chapman, 1910)

The Bible tells us that we are to “fret not”. Here is a list of reasons why we do not have to fret.

1. The Lord Jesus

The list is complete!

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. (Psalm 37:7)

Good morning. In a world with many things to fret about God tells us that we shouldn’t, and that we don’t have to. May we remember He knows all things (Hebrews 4:13), He can do all things,(Jeremiah 32:17) and all things are under His control (Luke 8:25). The answer to the temptation of fretting is prayer (1 Peter 5:7), trust (Proverbs 3:5), looking unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), remembering His mighty power (Psalm 106:8), remembering His great love for us (John 3:16), that He has promised to never leave of forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and He has promised to meet all of our needs (Philippians 4:19)! May I encourage you when you have a few minutes, or are tempted to fret, to look up the scripture references that I have given you, and be reminded and encouraged of God’s great love and power. And when we have that heavenly perspective, we will be far less tempted to fret.

💙Looking for more than just a place to work?

At Concordia, our team members are part of something bigger.

This Lenten season, our employees lived that mission through Neighbors in Need: An Almsgiving Mission for Local Schools—coming together to collect essential food, clothing, and personal care items for local students in Butler County. Because of their compassion, children in our community will have greater access to everyday necessities, offering comfort, dignity, and quiet support.

This is what it means to work at Concordia: serving with purpose, leading with heart, and making a real difference in the lives of others.

If you have a servant’s heart and feel called to meaningful work, we invite you to join our team. Be part of a community that puts faith into action every day.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
