We want to take a moment during Infant Immunization Week to encourage parents to talk to their pediatricians about keeping their child up-to-date on childhood vaccinations. We know there is a lot of conflicting information about which vaccines children need and the best schedule for them to receive those vaccines, so we’re encouraging you to have a full discussion with your pediatrician as you work together to make the best decisions to keep your child healthy.

Have you worn blue yet this month to show your support for Autism Awareness Month? If not, you still have time left to do so!

Though modern science has increased our knowledge of this condition we still have a long way to go in understanding it. Equally as important is teaching children who don’t have autism to be kind to those with it – to be kind to all people – because nearly two-thirds of children with autism between the ages of 6 and 15 have been bullied.

So, this month, let’s commit to working together to make this world – and our community – more inclusive for those with autism!

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a gastrointestinal (GI) condition that causes recurrent attacks of abdominal pain or discomfort in association with bowel habits. While a short stint of abdominal pain and diarrhea or constipation now and then is not unusual for most people, IBS is something different and includes more long-term or recurring symptoms.
