I feel ya.....it's been quite a week, right? Just some thoughts as the weekend comes to a close. I was able to take the time I needed yesterday to process somethings in all the raw emotion I was able to muster. It was ugly as I went thru it all step by step:
1. A deep sadness, as I felt for all of those who are unsure, worried about the future and their collective place in an increasingly angry society.
2. Frustration in the knowledge, we did all we could, to no avail. We know in every cell of our being there were placed inherent principles of love, goodwill towards all, and decent human behavior. What's happened this week runs contrary to what you feel deep in your Spirit and that conflict creates enormous stress.
3. Rage...that next stage that arises as you resist being lulled into hopelessness. A guttural roar from deep within that you don't even know you have. Let it out, safely and with someone you trust who can support you and catch you when you drop from exhaustion.
4. Relief. Now that you are emptied...you can fill yourself with life affirming truths. 2 Corintians 4:8 reminds us we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
5.Hope returns. STAND. ARISE. HOPE ABIDES.
For though we may experience darkness for a little while.....JOY comes in the morning! Do whatever you can to lift your emotions...play music that you love, reach out to your people, pray and shout a hallelujah in the face of the devil....I put up my Christmas tree and have my twinkle lights glowing. My heart is full again, and I hope yours will be soon as well. Thank you for the idea JoDee Rice!
Love you all.....
Love and blessings to you all today and in the coming days
