Greene County Emergency Medical Services Council, Inc The Greene County EMS Council meets every third Tuesday of the month at 3:30pm. All Greene County EMS Providers are urged to attend!

The purpose of the EMS Council is to provide assistance, instruction, direction, coordination and regulation in the efficient delivery of the Emergency Medical Service to the public. The Greene County EMS Council consists of thirty five people who represent EMS agencies within Greene County and agencies such as; Public health, Columbia Memorial Hospital, Greene County Emergency Services, Greene Co

unty Emergency Medical Service Coordinator and the Greene County Medical Director. The meeting occurs at the Greene County Emergency Services building: 25 Volunteer Drive, Cairo, NY 12413. To be placed on Greene County EMS Councils email list, please send an email with your name and email to GCEMScouncil@gmail.com. The following are the 2022 elected officers;

On Saturday May 18th, the Greene County Emergency Medical Services Council held their Annual Appreciation Night for EMS providers and their families in celebration of National EMS Week. This year we honored Rick Stanfield and Richie Lendin for their years of service and dedication to the people in our community.
A special thank you to Blackthorne Resort for a great venue and a delicious meal. Also thank you to the officials representing state and local governments that took the time to celebrate with us.

This year during National Emergency Medical Services Week, ambulance agencies in the county visited with approximately 800 children at local schools. The children were able to walk through the ambulances, learn about some of the equipment on the ambulances and they also learned about calling 911 for help. Thank you to all of those that helped out with this important program !
