The look of immense gratitude for the privilege to help my clients to maximize their potential for strong well balanced and pain free movement on this rainy Sunday.
So many breakthroughs!!
Sundays have become my favorite treatment days. Initially, I began treating patients on Sundays because I live a varied life as a DPT, business owner, mentor, actor, voiceover talent, model, and always a mama and grandma which requires a flexible schedule.
In a recent episode of his podcast, The Called - The Magical Intersection of Purpose, Equity, and Innovation, began with “Don’t be so quick to define yourself” , and followed up with so much insight and brilliance that I took 2 pages of notes!
It resonated powerfully with me as I strive to maintain the freedom to grow, move, and shift in ways that appear unconventional to some, and yet here I am in the flow with “The audacity to Believe” another quote from Toure Roberts 🙏🏾
Check It out 🙌🏾
Treating on Sundays have been a blessing. For many it’s that one magical day that inherently allows you to choose rest. Sunday energy is truly healing. ✨🙌🏾

Going on a hike?! Try this quick and effective glut activation exercise with a mini band.
Activating the gluts can reduce chances of using low back muscles for what the gluts should be doing. 😉
Stay safe! Have fun!
Keep abdominals engaged (navel toward your spine) throughout this exercise and stay weighted through your heels.
Band placement around the boney prominence(tibial tuberosity) just below the knees or around the mid calve…whichever is most comfortable for you.
Find a wide stance wherein you can maintain your knees in alignment with your ankles while in a demi squat position.
Engage your abs!
Move right leg through internal and external range of motion while keeping the left leg stable (knee in same line as ankle) for 5-10 reps.
Engage your abs!
Now repeat with left leg motion while stabilizing with the right leg 5-10 reps.
Finish with full squats 5-10 reps.
KEEP ABS ENGAGED and find a breath pattern that works for you!
You should feel the work in the hips!
Now go get it!! 🏃🏽♀️
Note: Always seek the advice of who? Your trusted healthcare professional before beginning a new exercise routine.

Move, but not in the way that fear makes you move.
- Rumi
Investing energy into staying grounded, grateful, and in alignment with my higher self which always brings me back to this!
Breath work, moving my body, and meditation.
For me this quote from Rumi brings awareness to the fear based chatter in my head and brings me back to Love.
Thought I’d share. Have a beautiful Sunday.
Much Love 💜💜💜🙌🏾

Happy International Women’s Day to all Women ❤️
“Know that you are perfect just as you are, and that you do not have anything to prove to ANYONE”.
These are the words that I would say to my daughter as she walked out of the house to meet with friends while in high school. I still remind her because even as adults, we can all forget our worth at times.
This pic of me and my baby girl was a proud moment. I remain grateful for all of the magnificent women that came before me and paved the way for me to have the opportunity to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from USC while raising my 3 children.
NOW this little nugget in my arms is graduating from SC this May!!!
