Travel Club just wrapped up an incredible month-long adventure in Africa! 🌍 We went on a virtual safari, sharing fun facts about amazing animals and watching documentaries about some of the Africa's most mysterious places.

We also had some fascinating discussions about political leaders and dove into the delicious world of African cuisine, thanks to our incredible Cooking Club! It was a month full of fun, learning, and cultural exploration.

Last weeks' Concert in the Park event at Silverado Calabasas gave us all a moment to cherish. Our friend, Bette Ann, took to the dance floor and rocked it out! Her joy was infectious and a beautiful reminder of the powerful connection music has to the human spirit. So much love for these moments and this amazing woman!

Who knew a simple tater could bring so much joy? We celebrated National Potato Day with a baked potato bar, and it was a smash hit!

It was so fun seeing everyone load up their spuds with cheese, bacon, sour cream, chili and cheese. A huge shout-out to our amazing Fun Committee for making our day extra yummy.

Our Nexus Book Club requested the classic novel, Pride and Prejudice. Can you have a book club without personalized bookmarks? Of course not!

And, to quote Elizabeth - we are only resolved to act in that manner, which will, in our own opinion, constitute our own happiness.

We take pride in hearing our residents, giving them the respect to deliver programming to their specific interests and celebrating the choices they make.

Laughter and cheers filled the front yard as we celebrated National Bowling Day with our residents! It was a day of friendly competition, high-fives, and some impressive bowling.

Our residents have really taken a liking to slowing down and finding relaxation in the simple art of coloring mandalas. Sometimes they chat, sometimes they don't but every time they create something that brightens our day!

Guess who flew into town?! A special visitor, Arlo the parrot, flew by Silverado Calabasas to show off his beautiful feathers and bring smiles to our residents at Silverado Calabasas! We're still in awe of this beautiful bird and his sweet handlers!

Giving back is a cornerstone of our community at Silverado Calabasas, and nothing makes us prouder than seeing our residents' generosity in action. They put their hearts into creating these wonderful "Associate Essential Bags," filled with sweet treats, chapsticks, highlighters, and lots of other goodies. It’s a small gesture that shows our appreciation for our amazing team.
