You’re doing all the right things but still invisible. Here’s why.

The version of me who collected strategies like they’d save her?

She was terrified.

Terrified she didn’t know enough.

Terrified she’d miss the ONE thing that would make it all work.

Terrified that if she stopped learning, she’d fall behind.

So she kept taking notes.

Kept listening to experts.

Kept filling her brain with everyone else’s blueprints.

Until one day I realized: I was using learning as procrastination.

I was using strategies as proof I was “doing something” without actually risking anything.

So I killed that version of me.

And I made a different decision.

What if I let my transformation be the proof?

What if I just showed people what I’d already done and offered to teach them how?

That decision changed everything.

For years, I thought I needed a massive following to build something that mattered.

Turns out I was wrong (crazy but it happens 😝).

I built $100M with less than 40K followers.

Not because I cracked some algorithm (I wish), but because I stopped chasing tactics and started becoming someone undeniable.

There were so many nights I spent working... exhausted, taking time away from the things that mattered most like my family.

One night after I put my daughter to bed and went BACK to work, I just sat there, staring at the computer screen.

I knew there had to be a better way. The “experts” kept selling me tactics that didn’t stick.

These days, I do things very different. I’m part of what I call the New SELF Made.

My dearest little love… you have brought me more joy in this one lifetime than I ever thought possible.

I’m inspired by your kindness, your laughter, and the light that you carry into every room.

We’ve had so many adventures together and I can’t wait for many more.

You’re growing up and exciting to see you become your own person and make your own way. I can’t wait to see what you will do.

While it’s harder starting something new at 48, it’s also… easier.

I know my priorities. I have receipts. I built the cushion. I say no. I move with clarity. I trust mySELF.

That combo makes every decision cleaner, faster, richer.

It’s still not “easy,” to be clear.

But it’s a hell of a lot better than looking back one day and wondering… “what if.”

Tag the friend who needs proof that right on time is now.

Starting a business at 48 hits… harder.

The hormones, the decision fatigue, the heavier risks… and yet, here I am.

Because starting something new at midlife is still better than living with regret.

September was… a moment.

After 8 years in the making, Rewritten launched and sold out our first product in less than 48 hours (now back in stock!)

There’s so much to learn with a new brand in a new industry and to say it’s kept me on my toes is an understatement.

I spent time with amazing women entrepreneurs who have been wildly supportive, made time for SELF care, and grown in ways I didn’t know was possible.

September didn’t come without challenges though.

As I type this I’m navigating something I never would have imagined. It will change me forever. In many ways, it already has.

I spent time with my loves, shed a lot of tears, and made new friends.

I’m watching Rain and the kitties grow while Zak and I grow and stretch in our own ways.

I also learned face masks are a special form of therapy.

Much to be grateful for and miles to go before I sleep. (shoutout Robert Frost)

When I was setting prices for Rewritten, I caught myself shrinking.

Talking like the old me instead of the version who built this brand.

That’s the trap with pricing: it looks like numbers, but it’s really self-worth.

And if you keep undercharging, it’s not just your margins that suffer.

It’s how the world sees you.

Raising my prices wasn’t just about skincare.

It was about identity, confidence, and finally owning the value of my work.

If you’ve ever lowered your prices to feel “safe,” this is your reminder to stop undervaluing yourSELF.

Raise it. Your worth is non-negotiable.

I used to wonder what the purpose of my life was.

Why was I here?

Did I even matter?

I wandered around for years… trying on different roles, testing out different identities.

And then one day, my life started to crumble.

I had health issues after health issue.

I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and suffered from short term memory loss and clinical depression.

I was 25 lbs overweight, had cystic acne, and migraines that lasted for days.

No one could fix me.

I thought of ending it all just to make the pain stop.

But in my darkest hour, I experienced this deep knowing… I was meant for more.

This was not supposed to be my life.
