✨ 6 Months of Parkway Pediatrics! ✨

At 6 months old, babies hit some exciting milestones… and we’ve been hitting our own too!

👶 At 6 months, babies are:
💺Sitting up with support
🗣Babbling and finding their voice
🥑Exploring new foods
😄Smiling, laughing, and bonding even more

💙 We’re doing our own version of that too!
✅Sitting strong - We’ve found our rhythm as a practice and built a solid foundation.
✅Finding our voice - We’ve shared pediatric tips, reels, and resources to support our community of families.
✅Exploring new things - From workshops to fundraisers, we’ve started growing beyond the exam room.
✅Smiling and bonding - We’ve loved getting to know your families and becoming part of your village.

We are so grateful for every family who has trusted us with their children over these first 6 months. Here’s to many more milestones ahead — together. 💫

Skin care is a common concern for teens and young adults, and social media trends like “get ready with me” videos are sparking interest in even younger kids. Many of these popular skin care routines are designed for older age groups, involve products that may not be safe for children, and often come with high price tags.

If your child or teen does not have acne, the only skin care they need to focus on is washing their face as a part of their routine bathing AND applying daily sunscreen. When acne becomes an issue, they may use other products with active ingredients--but this should ideally be with the guidance of their pediatrician and/or dermatologist.

🧴 Here’s how to navigate it:
✔️ Listen first—show interest in what they’re seeing
✔️ Teach them how to spot what’s hype vs. what’s healthy
✔️ Remind them most young skin needs simple, gentle care
✔️ Offer alternatives that actually work for their age - or find an age-appropriate option within the popular brand they're wanting
