I'm chiming in to remind you to give yourself some grace. If your brain's full of stuff you absolutely have to do to avoid being a failure as a human being, I'm here to tell you that your sweet brain is lying to you.
These are complete sentences: You are. I am. We are.
If you're spiraling, breathe and remember that simply being—even for one breath—builds the foundation for peace, joy…and badassery.
I'm a fan of the mantra so hum (I am). Breathe in slowly, silently saying "so," then exhale, silently saying "hum." Want extra credit? Repeat. It's effective for protecting you against anything trying to steal your peace, including your own mind.
When you need a little extra, I find swearing to be a happy companion to this practice. 😉
