Pregnancy typically comes with appointments, checklist, and lots of information but connection with your body doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it looks like pausing for a few breaths, placing your hands on your belly, or taking a slow walk and noticing how you feel.

These small moments of awareness can help you feel more grounded in your pregnancy and more connected to your baby 💖

If you’re pregnant right now, I’m curious what helps you feel most connected to your baby?

Pregnant and thinking about labor? One of the most powerful tools you can bring with you isn’t something you pack in your hospital bag.

It’s your mindset!

Labor can be intense, unpredictable, and emotional. While you can’t control every outcome, the way we approach birth can make a big difference in how we move through it. When fear takes over, the body tends to tense up. It can make contractions feel harder to cope with and make it more difficult to stay present in the moment.

But when we practice staying grounded, connected to our breath, and trusting our bodies, we create space to move through labor with more clarity, confidence, and adaptability, even if things shift along the way.

That’s exactly why I created my Strengthen Your Birth Mindset virtual workshop 😃

In this workshop, we’ll explore:
✨ how mindset affects the labor experience
✨tools to stay calm and focused during contractions
✨ways to work with your body during labor
✨practical mindset techniques you can actually use during labor

If you’re pregnant and want to feel more prepared, more grounded, and more confident heading into birth, join us!

“In the United States, Black women are significantly more likely to experience pregnancy complications and maternal mortality. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to report stark disparities in outcomes for Black mothers compared to white mothers.

But here’s what’s important to understand:

Bias in healthcare is not always obvious. It’s often subtle; it shows up in tone, body language, dismissal, or delay. This guide is not based on fear; it’s about helping you recognize whether your provider is truly practicing respectful maternity care. Because you deserve to feel safe, heard, and partnered with during your pregnancy and birth.”

A lot of partners quietly wonder if a doula means they’ll be pushed aside.

Not here!

You are not being replaced, you’re empowered. Your role and space is protected.

When supporting a birth, I guide, explain, steady the room, create space for you both. I help you feel confident, not lost in your role. All so that you can focus on what matters most, being her person.

The strongest births aren’t mom + doula, rather mom + partner + doula, all working together.

Birth support isn’t about replacing the partner, it’s about strengthening the team already there 🫶🏼✨

Preparing your body for birth is important. But you shouldn’t stop there! Preparing your mind for labor and birth is just as important.

The thoughts you rehearse in pregnancy shape the way you move through labor.

Strengthen Your Birth Mindset is where grounded science meets a little sacred energy. We’re talking about cortisol, oxytocin, regulations and the power of feeling safe in your body and through labor.

If you’re pregnant and want to feel calm, steady, and confident walking into birth, this is for you! Meet us there 💗

You’re not finding motherhood hard because something is wrong with you. You’re finding it hard because our society is broken. Having a baby changes everything and that’s okay. What’s not okay is doing it all in isolation with no real support.

Society has pushed us to do it all alone, to bounce back, and to hide the struggle. But motherhood is all-encompassing, and it deserves real support.

That support can be trusted friends, loved ones, o caring practitioner, or even extra help. Building your village takes time, but it’s never too late.

When we show up for each other, we change things.

If you need support, whether at home, online, or just a listening ear, send me a DM! I’m here 🤍

Breastfeeding in the Black community carries history.

Not just tips and latch, advice, but generations of exploitation resilience, disruption, and reclamation.

When we talk about breast-feeding rates, we have to talk about context.
▪️Forced wet nursing
▪️Formula marketing
▪️Workplace barriers
▪️Dismissed pain and concerns
▪️Lack of culturally safe support

This has never been about ability. It has always been about access and support. If you’re a Black mom navigating feeding decisions, you deserve full information, real options and support that feels aligned.

If breastfeeding is something you want, preparation and community matter. And you do not have to figure it out alone.

Pregnancy should be a time where concerns are taken seriously, questions are welcomed, and care is based on evidence, not assumptions.

Too many BIPOC parents experience dismissal (especially of pain), delayed care, or lack of informed consent because of bias. It is not okay! And that’s why culturally aware care is important.

Advocacy and informed support matter. It saves lives.

When motherhood is being hijacked for content and promotion of one set of beliefs, it’s important to remember that HOW you mother is up to you. How we show up for our children, how we teach them of the world and of themselves, how we learn from them and let them grow into the humans they’re meant to be, and how we prepare them for the world they’ll inherit, is just as important as what we do outside of motherhood. We are raising the next generation and that is not something we should take lightly.

How we raise our children and the teachings we impart will live long after we are gone. It is our mark on the world.

Alice Walker said it best, “Motherhood is the greatest act of rebellion in a world that tries to silence women.”
