Just a thought about Early Screening: "The phonological awareness abilities (measured at the age of four or five) predict the subsequent mathematical skills of children one or two years later (Alloway, Gathercole, Adams, Willis, Eaglen & Lamont, 2005). " Language has an enormous impact on mathematics. We are just really beginning to understand that.

Our office will be closed from December 25 through January 2.

Starting in 2024, big changes will be happening for HEC! We will reduce our hours to one day a week (Tuesdays) for counseling to spend more time with our family. Our in-office space will move to The Westover House (519 Bloomfield Ave l21, Caldwell, NJ 07006).

We will still offer educational assessments and advocacy.

We are completely out of network and will be cash/check/credit card ONLY for payment.

We appreciate all of the support of our long-standing clients and their understanding to reduce our hours at this time.

How we Started

Founded in 2018, Hollingsworth Educational and Counseling Services is a privately owned company that looks at the individual holistically. We have experience addressing academic needs and the underlying emotional/social issues that often impede a student's ability to succeed. We specialize in subject tutoring, learning disability remediation, diagnostic evaluations, and small group reading, writing, and math classes. We also offer individual and family counseling/case management services so that every family unit can become successful.
