Utah has just become the 27th state in the nation — along with the District of Columbia, Guam and the Mariana Islands — to enact Full Practice Authority for nurse practitioners (NPs)!

Dec 15, 2022 Senate Bill 1522 passed out of committee today, voted unanimously. This bill eliminates certain practice restrictions for advanced practice nurses (APNs), including restrictions that limit the ability of APNs to prescribe medications and administer anesthesia, and establishes new requirements for APNs to prescribe medications.
