Our food permit license got a new look! Next time you dine out, look for our updated food permits which include a QR code for patrons to scan with their smartphone to view real-time inspection results.

Updated licenses will be mailed out to restaurants, food trucks, and other food establishments soon. Receiving a food permit is a big accomplishment for business owners, so although it’s required to post them in an area visible to their customers, we encourage vendors to hang them up with pride!

A few weeks ago, the Adams County Health Action Team (ACHAT) hosted their first big community event. The Courage to Connect walk brought together dozens of community members walking to raise awareness about mental health and the value of community connection. It was a 5K walking route along the Weiser River Trail.

Thank you to the Whittenberger Foundation for supporting healthy babies and families in Idaho!

The Nic-Free Baby & Me program provides up to a year's worth of diapers and wipes for families who quit ni****ne. Participants in the program receive free coaching, support, and ni****ne replacement therapy (gum, patches, lozenges) to help them achieve a successful quit attempt and stop va**ng, smoking, or chewing for good. Individuals qualify for the program if they are ready to quit ni****ne and are pregnant, have a child under two years old, and live with the child or pregnant mom.

A huge thank you to Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for hosting us last month for a food safety workshop. This workshop provided valuable information to help food business owners understand the health and safety requirements essential for starting or expanding a food business.
