Our Story
Your Kneaded Touch is a Massage Therapy and Bodyworks business, which is owned by Arissa O'Donnell. Arissa is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) through the State Medical Board of Ohio. She attended Washington State Community College where she received her Certificate for Massage Therapy, an Associates in Applied Science (Health and Wellness) and iher degree as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
Each massage preformed at Your Kneaded Touch is customized to fit each individuals needs. Massage Therapy should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and you should be see a physician, chiropractor, or other qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical ailment. Massage Therapists are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness.
A Relaxation (Swedish) Massage uses mild to moderate pressure and is great for restoring well-being, reducing tension and relieving stress. A Deep Tissue Massage uses deep pressure to get deep into the muscle to loosen specific areas of the body and relieve chronic muscle tension. Please Note: Deep Tissue Massage should NEVER be painful; at times the deep pressure can be uncomfortable to the client (with possible soreness the following day), but if the massage ever gets "painful," the therapist is working way too hard/deep and the body is no longer receiving a beneficial massage.
Paraffin Wax is a heated wax that is soothing to the skin to help moisturize and leave your skin feeling soft and supple. The heat helps to increase blood flow, reduce pain, improve joint stiffness and relax the muscles--especially with sprain or pulled muscles, bursitis/tendonitis, arthritis/osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia. Since the paraffin wax is a form of heat, it is used for muscle, tendon, and ligament ailments as well.
Cancellation Policy: Your Kneaded Touch is a professional massage business. Due to the extended wait list for openings (especially evening hours), it is your responsibility to notify Arissa in an appropriate manner if you need to reschedule your appointment. If you fail to do so, or if you “no-show” for your appointment, it is your responsibility to still pay for your missed appointment. My time is just as valuable as yours. Thanks for your understanding.
