Raking leaves might seem like light yard work until your back reminds you otherwise. Here are a few ways to keep your spine happy while tackling those fall piles:

✅ Switch sides often – Don’t rake more than 15 minutes on one side.
✅ Pivot at your hips – Let your legs and core do the work.
✅ Bend your knees, not your back – Squat to bag leaves instead of bending at the waist.
✅ Take breaks – Your yard can wait while you enjoy that fall treat.
✅ Listen to your body – Sharp pain is your cue to stop.
