Today was truly bittersweet as Chris Driskell, our long-time Residential Therapist, closes an important chapter with us. With heavy hearts, we wish Chris all the very best in his next journey. His impact on CAW has been instrumental in shaping how we serve our community, and his dedication will not be forgotten.

We were honored to celebrate with our clients today, recognizing the meaningful legacy Chris leaves behind. Thank you, Chris, for everything you have given.

Our Intellectual Disability Division had a great day on Saturday at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center for the annual Exceptional Lives Expo. There were about 50 vendors discussing their resources. There was music, Disney princesses, balloon animals, and a glitter tattoo station. 😊

Central Alabama Wellness' Prevention Director, Zina Cartwell participated in Prevention Day. The 2026 Prevention Day at the Capitol is a significant event in Montgomery, Alabama, dedicated to substance use prevention. This annual event invites substance use prevention professionals, community partners, youth, college students, and colleagues to connect, learn, and advocate for prevention efforts.
