Over the last few months I’ve been studying and meditating a lot. I’ve been becoming stronger in myself as well as connecting to the natural world and becoming more in tune with what she has to teach us. The last few weeks I’ve been studying bees 🐝 how they work, live, think, and communicate. I want to share something that resonated with me and had me reflecting on situations throughout this lifetime.

Humans 💁 use primarily BINARY THINKING also known as black-and-white thinking. A cognitive bias where situations, people, or ideas are categorized into two opposing, mutually exclusive options, like good or bad, right or wrong, with no middle ground. This can lead to oversimplification of complex issues and limit the ability to see alternative perspectives.

The bees 🐝 use POLARITY THINKING a framework for understanding and managing enduring tensions or dilemmas where two seemingly opposing forces are both needed and interdependent. It's not about choosing one side or the other, but about recognizing that both sides have value and finding a way to balance them for optimal outcomes.

✨This is so powerful to me. If humans started looking at the world through a polarity thinking viewpoint how many problems could we solve. How much hatred and judgement could we eliminate from the world by thinking like the bees?

Here in Alabama the weather can’t make up its mind. As a result of the constant fluctuation in temperatures I have a sinus infection trying to move its way in. 🤧
Along with my herbal regimens I also use food to boost the body! Tuna is high in omega-3 fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory properties and can help support the decrease in nasal swelling and irritation. I have personally found this can be a huge benefit in moving out congestion. I made a tuna salad for lunch and added things in like garlic, onion, and egg for added boosts.
Remember to support your body when you aren’t feeling good. Drink lots of water, juices, herbal tea, and eat things that support the cause.

Let Go and Grow 🌱🪴

I call myself a life coach by experience…that means I have personally experienced loss, trauma, and difficult hardships in life and I show people the tools and techniques that worked for me to overcome and grow through it all.
Does that mean when you overcome that you are fully healed…no. Depending on the type of hardship sometimes you never stop healing…but overcoming means that you learn how to recognize, understand, and acknowledge the feelings as they are brought to the surface and you learn techniques so you can turn those emotions and thoughts into personal power so you can push forward and OVERCOME.
Your hardships and darkness don’t define you. How you grow through them is the important part. To overcome doesn’t mean to ignore, push away or forget and leave behind. It means acknowledging, feeling and understanding. You didn’t choose your trauma or your hardship, you didn’t choose to struggle and you couldn’t control it. What you can control is what you do now. Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting, it just means you can’t grow if you are holding onto what brought you down in the first place. I remember my trauma, I remember it everyday and I use those memories to keep moving myself forward. I don’t remember them and harbor feelings of sadness or resentment. I don’t hold onto the memories to dwell on them and hold onto hate. I remember them so I can show myself how far I have come. I remember them so I can see how strong I really am.

✨🌸Maeve - Irish Goddess🌸✨

🌸Prime date to honor or invoke her spirit- May 1st-7th

🪻✨Irish legends say that in early May the fairies emerge from their winter hibernation, looking forward to spring. They sing dance and begins celebrating. On May 1st the Celtic fertility holiday Beltane is celebrated, and traditionally s*x plays apart in the festivities. That is why we honor the l***y goddess Maeve, also known as the fairy Queen during this week.

🪻✨This strong willed, independent, Irish goddess is a powerful deity, as well as a glamorous one. She alone determined which men would become king. The legends say that no man could look at her without succumbing to throes of passion. She would also use her sensual power to defeat the armies of Ulster in battle.

🪻✨She is a goddess of love and war. She is said to be faster than the swiftest horse. She is believed to be the queen of the fairies and will join in their merrymaking but can also take a human form.

🌸Animal Totems:
Bulls, birds, ravens and small animals.

🌸Symbols and Correspondences:
Gold, red dresses, sword.

🌸Reasons to invite and work with her:
•If you are seeking love.
•If you are in conflict with a spouse or partner.
•if you face competition that requires courage or self-determination.

✨🌸Flora - Roman Goddess🌸✨

✨Prime dates to invite her energy/spirit - April 24th-30th

✨🌸At the hight of springtime we honor Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers, although her worship predates the Roman Empire. Her festival known as Floralia begins on April 27th. The ancient Sabines, a tribe who lived near Rome, celebrated this fertility goddess for the entire month of April, when the land blossomed with colorful flowers.
Flora’s festival celebrates beauty, s*x, and fertility…the end of cold weather, rebirth and renewal. The ancient Roman’s marked Floralia with games, chariot races, singing, dancing, and various amusements that had s*xual themes. They offered gifts of wheat, milk, and honey to the goddess. They scattered flowers in her honor and all the women and girls dress in colorful clothing with flower crowns or garlands in their hair.

✨🌸Reasons you may want to invoke her: If you want more love, joy, and abundance in your life, this goddess can help you attract wealth, improve your s*x life, become pregnant, or be more creative. In short she will show you how to blossom. 🌸 If you’ve experienced a period of drought, Flora offers hope and encourages brighter, more beautiful times ahead. As the goddess of flowers she lends assistance to gardeners, horticulturists, farmers, botanists, and healers who work with plant medicine.

🌏We are all in a relationship with the earth. She takes care of us in ways we can’t possibly comprehend. We need her…without the earth, without plants, trees, grass and bees…we couldn’t and wouldn’t survive. She also holds secrets, guidance and wisdom…and she will show you if you connect and listen.

Today and every day…I encourage you to acknowledge your relationship with the earth. Connect with her, listen and learn from her. Tune into the life sustaining environment and energy that she holds for us. Admire the flower 🌹, hug the tree🌳, appreciate the leaves🍃 , talk to the garden 🪴, feed and water the bees 🐝, put your feet in the dirt and give thanks to Mother Earth. If we take care of her she takes care of us. Just like any other living thing you can’t just take from her you have to give back, acknowledge, and show appreciation for the gifts given. My connection with the earth is so precious and sacred to me. That is why I’m so passionate about the work that I do. 🩵🌱
