Calhoun City Schools’ Healthy Hive simulation lab was on display yesterday evening during the annual homecoming parade. The Healthy Hive was donated by AdventHealth for use with the health care and EMT/Paramedic career pathways at Calhoun High School.

October is here, and once again, it's time to light porches pink across Northwest Georgia to spread breast cancer awareness! We invite you and your families to participate in this experience by installing a pink light bulb in your front porch light socket, creating a pink evening glow.

With 3D mammograms in 30 minutes, we’re making it easy to get screened! Breast cancer affects one in eight women and is easily treatable when caught early. Mammograms truly save lives, so we’re also encouraging women to schedule their annual mammogram at one of our AdventHealth locations in Rome, Calhoun or Chatsworth.

We want to see your pink porch! When lighting your porch pink, be sure to take photos and share them on social media with , along with your reasons for shining a light on breast cancer. Whether it's a message of remembrance, a celebration of survivorship, or a reflection on your own journey, your voice matters.

AdventHealth Gordon was full of expecting mothers and their support teams participating in the annual Maternity Fair. Attendees enjoyed tours of the beautiful LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-partum) rooms at the Baby Place; meeting with the staff; and listening to workshops on visiting the obstetrician, Build a Brain, lactation, pediatrics, car seat safety and so much more.

“The Baby Place at AdventHealth Gordon offers a birthing experience unmatched in Northwest Georgia,” said Tracy Farriba, director of community outreach. “It’s our pleasure to be able to provide such a wonderful service and beautiful environment to our community.”
