AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to announce that Cody Scoggins, FNP-C, has joined AdventHealth Medical Group Urgent Care at Adairsville Health Park.

Scoggins joins Andrea Kovacic, MD, Hilary Epps, FNP-C, and the care team at AdventHealth Medical Group Urgent Care Adairsville Health Park. Scoggins practiced previously at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Curtis Parkway.

Scoggins is a certified family nurse practitioner who earned his Master of Science in Nursing degree at Spring Arbor University. He is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Scoggins seeks to impact his patients’ whole-person health for the better by developing meaningful patient-provider relationships. He believes that building relationships with patients and families is essential to building trust.

We’re proud to share that Isaac Sendros, President and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond, has been appointed to the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) Board of Trustees.

As an At-Large Trustee, Isaac will help shape strategies for hospitals across Georgia, champion high-quality patient care, and advocate for adequate hospital reimbursement.

With a strong track record of leadership and innovation, including major expansion projects and executive roles across Colorado and Florida, Isaac brings a wealth of experience to this important role.

“Isaac Sendros brings extensive leadership experience to our state and is committed to bettering the health and well-being of Georgians,” said GHA President and CEO Caylee Noggle. “His experience will serve our Board well, and we look forward to his service.”

“The Georgia Hospital Association is a key partner as we work together to ensure the residents of Georgia receive the best possible care,” said Sendros. “I am honored to serve on the GHA Board as we continue this important life-saving work.”

AdventHealth and Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) have signed an agreement designed to boost enrollment in GNTC’s Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program, thereby helping to expand and continue nursing education services in northwest Georgia.

The collaboration is designed to strengthen the connection between academic preparation and clinical practice by expanding clinical placement opportunities, supporting workforce development and fostering shared initiatives in nursing education, evidence-based practice and quality care.

“Nurses are the heartbeat of health care, and as we look toward the future, it is important that we do everything we can to fortify a pipeline of nurses to who are ready to provide exceptional care at the bedside,” said Isaac Sendros, president and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “When it comes to maximizing impact across northwest Georgia, partnerships are where we work best, and we are extremely excited to partner with GNTC on this important endeavor.”

“GNTC’s mission has always centered on meeting the workforce needs of our community,” said Dr. Heidi Popham, GNTC president. “This partnership with AdventHealth will not only expand access to nursing education, but will also help ensure our healthcare providers have the trained professionals they need to deliver high-quality care.”

“This innovative partnership is a timely and strategic response to the growing demand for registered nurses,” Dr. Popham said. “Together, we are preparing students for in-demand careers while strengthening the future of healthcare in our region.”
