HEALING HANDS CLINIC OFFERS MEDICAL SERVICES - AT NO COST - TO RESIDENTS WITHOUT INSURANCE AND ARE IN-NEED: Located in Sequoyah Village at 440 Red Bud Road in Calhoun, Healing Hands Clinic of Gordon County, a 501 c3, has been offering a wide variety of medical services at no cost to those most in need for almost 10 years.
The mission of Healing Hands Clinic is to provide access to basic healthcare for uninsured residents of Gordon County, serving those with medical needs who do not otherwise have access to healthcare. This service is able to be provided to a strong army of volunteers made up of medical volunteers and support staff who show compassion, dignity and respect to those who enter the doors for medical services.
Services provided by Healing Hands Clinic include primary care for adults, chronic disease management, laboratory services and blood work, health education, a prescription assistance program and referrals to specialty care when needed. Services not provided include pediatrics, prenatal and women’s health care, mental health care, substance abuse care, vision or dental services.
Services are provided by appointment only on Thursdays only; an appointment can be scheduled by calling 706-629-3054. To qualify for medical services offered, a resident cannot be covered by health insurance, and income must fall below the federal poverty guidelines.
