On September 11, Jeffery Wallace Fortner age 27 0f Pineville was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for domestic battering 3rd degree. Fortner was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Fortner is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on September 21.

On September 25, Donnie Lee Speak age 65 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for failure to pay fines. Speak was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $250 cash bond. Speak is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 10.

On September 17, April Edna Faye McDole age 29 of Jordan was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for public intoxication. McDole was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. McDole is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 19.

On Sept 17 Damian Joe McBride age 39 of Mtn. Home was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for possession of ma*****na. McBride was Incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. McBride is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 19.

On September 17, Noel Loosey age 56 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for resisting arrest, battery 3rd degree and disorderly conduct. Loosey is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center waiting to see the judge. Loosey is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 19.

On September 15, Larry Samuel Hagen age 38 of Dolph was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for Criminal Mischief first degree. Hagan was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $500 cash bond. Hagan is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 19.

According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on September 19, Jason Mathew Brannon age 35 of Pineville was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for drinking in public. Brannon was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Brannon is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on October 19.

On September 28 Alicia Nichole Peevey age 30 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith for petition to revoke. Peevey was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Peevey is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on October 9.

On September 29, Antonio Sanchez age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Sanchez was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention center and given a OR bond. On October 2 Antonio Sanchez was arrested again by Deputy DJ Tiernan for public intoxication. Sanchez is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center again waiting to see the Judge.

On October 1, Jolynn Mandel age 33 of Pineville was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for possession of a controlled substance. Mandel was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $1250 bond. Mandel is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on November 30.

On October 1, Justin Allen Janson age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for driving on suspended. Janson is Incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with a hold by Probation and parole. Janson is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on November 30.

According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on August 25, Cody lee Stacy age 42, of Dolph, Was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for three counts of Delivery of M**hamphetamine. Stacy is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center In lieu of $30,000 Bond. Stacy is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit court on Sept. 11.

On August 24, Jeffery Wallace Fortner, age 27, of Pineville was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for domestic battering 3rd degree. On August 8, Antonio Sanchez 4th age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for failure to pay fines. Sanchez was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center, bonded and was transferred to Searcy Police Dept on other charges.

On August 10, Stephen Lee Lewis II age 30 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for Domestic Battery 3rd degree. Lewis is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond at this time. Lewis is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on September 21.

On August 7, Timothy Allen Morris age 53 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for resisting arrest and battery 3rd degree. Morris was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond at time of arrest. Morris is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on September 7.

On August 19, Allan Dunnam age 44 0f Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for driving on suspended driver’s license, no vehicle license, and obstructing governmental operations. Dunnam was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and posted a $1250 bond. Dunnam is scheduled to appear in Izard County District court in Melbourne on Sept 2.

On August 17, Daniel Wayne Dwight age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested By Deputy Geoffrey Watts for Absconding. Dwight is being held in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Dwight is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on September 7.

Search Warrant Yields Largest M**h Bust in Izard County

According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley members of the Izard county Sheriff’s Department, 16th Judicial Drug task Force, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Game and Fish, Arkansas Department of Corrections and Independence County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the residence of Lawrence Arden Parnell age 68 and Amos Louis Parnell age 39 in Pineville. This search Warrant yielded the most methamphetamine ever seized in Izard County. Located in the search were numerous items of drug paraphernalia, digital scales, several loaded fi****ms, and over two pounds of methamphetamine. Also found and recovered during this search were a stolen four wheeler and a boat valued at over $15,000. Lawrence Arden Parnell was charged trafficking methamphetamine a class y felony, possession of drug paraphernalia with purpose to process, prepare, test or analyze methamphetamine a class B felony, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to ingest methamphetamine a class D felony, maintaining a drug premises a class C felony, manufacturing of Sch. VI ma*****na class D felony, simultaneous possession of drugs and fi****ms a class Y felony, felon in possession of firearm a class D felony and theft by receiving a class C felony. Lawrence Arden Parnell was given a recognizance bond. Amos Louis Parnell was charged trafficking methamphetamine a class y felony, possession of drug paraphernalia with purpose to process, prepare, test or analyze methamphetamine a class B felony, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to ingest methamphetamine a class D felony, maintaining a drug premises a class C felony, manufacturing of Sch. VI ma*****na a class D felony, simultaneous possession of drugs and fi****ms a class Y felony, felon in possession of firearm a class B felony, theft by receiving a class C felony and Habitual offender having been convicted of four or more felonies a class U felony. Amos Parnell has a $40,000 bond.

On June 23, Ronnie James Staggs age 60 of Pineville was arrested at his residence. Staggs was charged with three counts of delivery of methamphetamine all class C felonies and proximity-enhanced penalty a class U felony. Staggs is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond. Staggs is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on June 27. At the time Staggs was arrested at his residence Officer’s located a small amount of crystalline substance which was identified as being M**hamphetamine. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and after the warrant was executed 4 more additional drug related charges were filed. Ronnie Staggs was charged with Possession of M**hamphetamine with purpose to deliver a class “C” felony, possession of M**hamphetamine drug paraphernalia with the purpose to ingest a class “D” felony, maintaining a drug premise a class “C” felony, use or possession of a prohibited weapon (sawed off shotgun) a class “D” felony, and simultaneous possession of drugs and fi****ms a class “Y” felony. Bond on these new charges was set at fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) by District Judge David Miller.

On June 19 Jolynn Na Mandel age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for failure to appear. Mandel is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond. Mandel is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on June 27.

On June 22, Travis Lee Cagle age 38 of Calico Rock was arrested by Parole Officer Jana Pinkston and placed in a parole hold. Cagle is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond.

On June 30 Jamie Nichole Woodcock age 29 of Calico Rock was arrested by Sgt. Mark Simino for absconding, improper use of registration, fleeing, speeding, careless driving, no seat belt, no insurance and driving while license suspended. Woodcock is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on July 13.

On July 1, Timothy Daniel Traversie age 19 of Pineville was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for driving on suspended license. Traversie was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given a recognizance bond. Traversie is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on Aug 1.

On July 2, Steven Lee Lewis II of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for disorderly conduct. Lewis was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $220 bond. Lewis is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on July 27.

On July 2. Bobby Zachary age 49 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Rusty Ford for driving on suspended DL, no tail lights and DWI 2. Zachery was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $1,765 bond. Zachery is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court in Melbourne on July 13.

According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on July 1, Deputy Geoffrey Watts made a traffic stop on Red Lane in Calico Rock. Davinda Ann Pennington, the driver, age 39 of Calico Rock was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Operations and placed it the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $865 bond. Pennington is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on July 27. The passenger Benjamin Jacob Hinds age 34 of Oxford was also arrested by Deputy Watts for Absconding, possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use methamphetamine a class D felony, possession of fi****ms by certain persons a class B felony and criminal use of a prohibited weapon a class D felony. Hinds is Incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond. Hinds is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on July 18.

On July 5, Steve Martin Brewer of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for drinking in public. Brewer is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $220 bond. Brewer is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on July 10.

On July 8 Christina Ann Copes age 33 of Wideman was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for driving while license suspended. Copes was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given a recognizance bond. Copes is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on July 13.

On July 6, Steven William Chute age 27 of Calico Rock was arrested by deputy Steve Davidson for absconding. Chute is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Chute is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on July 27.

On July 9, Travis John Clary of Pineville was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clary was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given a recognizance bond. Clary is scheduled to appear in Izard county District Court on July 27.

On July 6, Rebecca Sue Humphrey age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested by Geoffrey Watts for possession of drug paraphernalia. Humphrey was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on an $1120 bond. Humphrey is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on July 27.

UPDATE

According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on August 2 , Kyle Edward Weeks age 28 of Ward, AR, Keith Charles Everett age 53 of Paragould, AR, Amos Lewis Parnell age 39 of Pineville, AR and Benjamin Jacob Hinds age 34 of Oxford, AR were all transported to Arkansas Department of Corrections. These four subjects will each do jail time for the crimes that they have committed.

ACCORDING TO CHIEF EARNIE BLACKLEY, ON JULY 25 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:26 A.M THE IZARD COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT WAS DISPATCHED TO A CALL OF A DECEASED MALE, RICKY BROWN ON WAYLAND ARBOR ROAD IN DOLPH ARKANSAS.

UPON ARRIVAL, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT BROWN HAD APPARENTLY DIED AS THE RESULT OF AN INJURY INFLICTED BY A KNIFE. BROWN’S BODY HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE FOR AN AUTOPSY IN AN EFFORT TO ASSIST IN DETERMINING THE MATTER AND CAUSE OF DEATH.

THE TWO INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY HAVE BEEN RELEASED PENDING THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THE INVESTIGATION. THE INVESTIGATION WILL CONTINUE WHILE AWAITING THE RESULTS FROM THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE AS WELL AS THE ARKANSAS CRIME LABORATORY.

THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS VERY CONFIDENT THAT THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT A RAMDOM ACT AND THERE IS NOT A CONTINUING THREAT TO THE COMMUNITY.
