Every year, the brightest minds in traumatic brain injury come together not just to share knowledge, but to change lives. 🧠✨
This March 27–29 in San Diego, medical providers, attorneys, and specialists from across the country will unite at the TBI Med Legal Conference with one mission: to advance understanding, strengthen cases, and improve outcomes for people living with traumatic brain injury.
At TBI Analytics, we’re proud to support this mission with advanced neuroimaging analysis that helps objectively demonstrate brain injury—bringing clarity where traditional imaging often falls short.
Join us as we work together to elevate the future of TBI care.We can’t wait to see you there.

“In an era where legal technology is rapidly evolving, credibility and admissibility matter more than novelty. When presenting any tech or service to litigators and trial lawyers, it’s not enough to have a compelling product—you must ensure it aligns with evidentiary standards such as Daubert and the applicable rules of evidence. Deep familiarity with these standards, rather than a purely marketing-driven approach, is what ultimately builds trust in the courtroom.”

Our approach combines multi-sequence brain MRI with Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) to deliver high-resolution, quantitative insights that go far beyond traditional imaging.

➡️We provide:

A detailed 40+ page diagnostic report highlighting areas of brain fiber tract damage.

Identification of Axonal shearing (aka diffuse axonal injury) and micro structural injuries often missed by standard brain MRIs.

A more clear explanation of how brain trauma, especially from an impact or acceleration/deceleration injury (aka “whiplash”) which can cause hidden damage, even without visible bleeding.

Why TBI Analytics?🧠
We uncover what routine scans cannot.

We help patients understand how their injury may relate to cognitive, emotional, or behavioral symptoms.

Our advanced imaging tools support litigation, treatment planning, and peace of mind🧠

🧠In times where technology is constantly evolving at a rapid pace, at TBI Analytics we are always attentive to new developments in advanced imaging to detect, diagnose, and assist our neuroradiologists in every case, no matter how complex.

➡️This is thanks to our research team and AI software that offers data integration from volumetrics, diffusion tensor imaging, MRI, and more.

Here we share this information with our colleague, an attorney specializing in TBI cases in the United States 🧠

🧠DTI is an acronym that stands for Diffusion Tensor Imaging🔍

It’s an additional sequence or software added to the standard brain MRI to help support the findings objectively of a Traumatic Brain Injury.

* DTI helps us to Understand the Brain Structure and the intricate network of white matter tracts, providing a detailed map of the brain’s connections.

When this part of the brain is damaged it is known an axonal injury and DTI measures the integrity of the fiber tracts which control the cognitive and behavior functions of three brain.
* there is a caveat that comes with DTI. Diffusion Tensor Imaging software is not all one and the same…

* DTI is a subjective measurement UNLESS there is quantitive normative database to compare the findings to.

* Due to AI technology, you can be rest assured that TBI Analytics has a DTI that is FDA cleared and is quantitative, and is being used in a peer reviewed, clinical settings.

* This is just a glimpse of what DTI is, and we are here to share more information to educate about the differences and it´s uses surrounding TBI🧠

And if you want to contact me to find out how I do it, you can write me a DM, comment “Podcast” or visit our website www.tbianalytics.org 🧠🎙️🔍

🧠Although TBI Analytics is known for their advanced neuro imaging on a brain MRI in their reporting.
We are just one spoke of the wheel to help with the diagnosis and treatment of these people involved in a personal injury incident.

However we are aware of many of the other spokes of that wheel who help and we are sharing this knowledge with you through the different experts within the med-legal field on our TBI Analytics Podcast.

With mild TBI being a complex injury, together we can teach and help each other learn about this invisible injury🧠

🧠A Brain MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive medical imaging test that produces highly detailed pictures of the brain and brain stem.
It is one of the best tools doctors use to diagnose and monitor a wide range of neurological conditions.

How a Brain MRI Works:

1. Magnetism and Radio Waves: The MRI machine uses a powerful magnetic field and radiofrequency pulses to create images.

2. No Radiation: Unlike X-rays or CT scans, an MRI does not use ionizing radiation.

3. Soft Tissue Detail: The strong magnetic field temporarily aligns the hydrogen atoms (protons) in your body’s water molecules. When the radiofrequency pulses are turned off, the protons return to their original alignment, releasing energy signals that are picked up by the machine. A computer processes these signals to generate extremely clear, cross-sectional images of soft tissues, which makes it ideal for viewing the brain.

What a Brain MRI is Used to Detect
A brain MRI can help doctors diagnose or monitor conditions such as:
• Tumors (cancerous and non-cancerous)
• Stroke or damage from a stroke
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other chronic neurological conditions
• Infections (like abscesses or encephalitis)
• Brain Aneurysms and other vascular problems (often with an MRA - Magnetic Resonance Angiography)
• Structural issues or birth defects of the brain
• Bleeding (hemorrhage) in or around the brain
• Causes of symptoms like chronic headaches, seizures, dizziness, or unexplained vision/hearing loss.

🧠Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) is an advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technique that offers unique differences in brain scanning by focusing on the microstructure and connectivity of the brain, a level of detail conventional MRI cannot provide🧠

➡️The main differences and additional information DTI offers are:

1. Visualization of White Matter Pathways (Tractography)
Conventional MRI provides structural images of the brain (gray and white matter), but DTI is the only non-invasive technique that allows for the visualization and mapping of the white matter tracts (axonal fibers).
• How it works: DTI measures the direction and magnitude of the diffusion (Brownian motion) of water molecules within the brain tissue.
• Anisotropy: In the white matter, the movement of water is restricted by the myelin sheath and cell membranes, causing the water to diffuse preferentially along the direction of the axons (anisotropic diffusion). DTI captures this directionality.
• Result: This process generates 3D visualizations called tractograms, often color-coded, which show the intricate neural pathways that connect different parts of the brain.

2. Quantitative Data on Tissue Integrity
DTI provides quantitative metrics that are sensitive to microscopic changes in brain tissue, which is invaluable for diagnosing and tracking disease progression.

3. Applications in Clinical Planning
The detailed information on connectivity makes DTI an indispensable tool for neurosurgeons.
• Brain Mapping: DTI helps in pre-surgical planning by precisely locating critical white matter tracts (like motor or language pathways) in relation to a tumor or lesion. This allows surgeons to maximize tumor removal while minimizing damage to essential functional areas, greatly improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
