Let’s chat about gut health and juicing! If someone is having gut health issues (like food intolerances or digestive issues), my personal opinion is that they should consult with a functional medicine practitioner. The standard American diet and lifestyle is SO unfriendly toward gut health that most of us need help with this including figuring out the issues and addressing them with root cause solutions.

As a nutritionist, I don’t think of juicing as a first-line method of working on gut health or gut diversity, but more of a high-level way of increasing overall nutrient intake. Gut health and gut diversity is likely better improved with an unprocessed, whole food diet with lots of plant diversity and likely lots of absorbable animal proteins and healthy fats. Some targeted supplements or herbs may also be necessary to help overcome the modern American lifestyle that has lots of stress and environmental toxins.

Here is a great article about the basics of gut health from a functional health perspective: https://www.rupahealth.com/post/a-functional-medicine-protocol-for-leaky-gut-syndrome

Costco Haul! ❤️💙 Here are some unique and delicious healthy foods I found at Costco in late March, 2026. I think a lot of these items are likely limited edition, so don’t wait to visit your local warehouse!

As a nutritionist who has autoimmune disease and PCOS, I try to focus on real, whole foods that are high in protein, high in fiber, and are low in refined sugars and processed ingredients. I also eat gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free to help manage symptoms of my chronic illness.

I hope you find this helpful and be sure to check out my other full-length Costco hauls located on my YT channel Clean Eating Kitchen (linked in profile).
