Friendly reminder: meal prep doesn’t have to be aesthetic or complicated.

Not every week is going to be the “perfect” meal prep where everything is chopped, portioned, and beautifully organized and that’s okay. Sometimes shortcuts are the best option.

One of my go-to hacks is frozen cascadian farms organic sweet potatoes. The only ingredient is sweet potatoes. I toss them with olive oil and salt, throw them in the oven, and they’re done. Normally I use butter but I ran out this time.

I’m also roasting some broccoli with them for an easy veggie.

Quick, simple, nutritious, and zero stress. That’s the kind of meal prep that actually fits into real life.

People wondering why I’m not shredded yet… like I don’t immediately say yes anytime someone offers pizza or ice cream.

And honestly? That’s kind of the point. I work out because I like food.

Fitness shouldn’t mean starving yourself or pretending you don’t enjoy normal things. Having a cheat meal every once in a while is not a big deal. The key is making sure a cheat meal doesn’t turn into a cheat weekend… or a cheat week.

Saw this from Barbell and immediately had to try it.

Also completely lost my voice from coaching so bare with me 🤣🤣🤣

Anyways! Most lat work locks your hips in place.
This does the opposite.

The Sumo Sit Lat Pulldown blends upper body hypertrophy with lower body mobility in the same set and I honestly didn’t know what to expect.

You sit in a wide sumo position, staying in deep hip abduction and external rotation the entire time. The weight actually pulls you forward into the stretch before you even pull down.

Holy crap.

My hip flexors were on fire.
Hamstrings lit up.
Lats felt amazing!! like they were lengthening and strengthening at the same time.

It exposed how tight I really am and how much I need more mobility built into my strength work.

Me: forgot to thaw the meat.
So now I’m absolutely demolishing rice and organic hot dogs before I clock back in.

And guess what? Both of those are food.

Not every meal is going to look like it belongs in a cookbook or shot in natural window lighting with a linen napkin casually thrown in the background. Sometimes it’s just… food. On a plate. In a rush. Because you have a life.

You do not need a perfect aesthetic to have a healthy lifestyle.
You need consistency. You need to eat. You need to move on with your day.

Long vulnerable story moment…

2022 ➡️ 2026

Same body. Very different health.

I was inflamed, exhausted, hormonally out of balance, dealing with gut issues, eczema, psoriasis, arthritis, bloating, stubborn weight… and I had been struggling since college.

I thought I was eating “decent.” I worked out. I tried to do the right things.
But no one told me how much toxic food, toxic products, and chronic inflammation were wrecking my hormones.

I went to doctor after doctor.
A pill for this. A cream for that. Another prescription.
No one talked about root cause.

Because my hormones were so imbalanced and my body so inflamed, we had to resort to IVF. After failed IVF, everything intensified.

That’s when I decided — my body isn’t broken.

So I took my health into my own hands.
I removed the toxins.
I lowered inflammation.
I supported my hormones naturally.

And everything changed.

Now at 36, I feel better than I did in my 20s.

This isn’t just about looking good in a bikini.
It’s about energy. Sleep. No bloating. Pain-free joints. Confidence. Longevity.
