The Moment I Almost Gave Up… 💔

5 times…
I heard the same words:

“It’s a boy.” 👶

And every time…
I smiled.

But deep down?

A part of me stayed quiet… 🥀

Because my heart was still waiting…
For her. 🎀

At 39…
I was exhausted.

No sleep.
No energy.
Just surviving… day by day. 😩

Until one night…

I broke.

I looked at my husband and said:
“I can’t do this anymore…” 💔

He didn’t argue.
He didn’t push.

He just held my hand…
and whispered:

“Then this is the last time.” 🕊️

And something inside me shifted.

I stopped trying so hard…
And started taking care of me. 🌙

Healing.
Resting.
Letting go. 🧘‍♀️

And then…

It happened.

Two lines. 💖

No big announcement.
No screaming.

Just silence…
And a heart full of hope. 🕰️

Until the doctor looked at me…
smiled…
and said:

“It’s a girl.” 👑🎀

I didn’t move.

I didn’t speak.

I just cried…

Because for the first time in years…

I felt complete. 😭💞

Now my boys are waiting for their little princess… 🧸✨

And me?

I finally got my miracle.

Last Tuesday, we got a call about a one-day-old baby girl in the NICU. We had just 30 minutes to decide—and we said yes. That night, we went to bed believing they’d probably choose someone else.

The next morning, our phone rang: They chose us. An hour later, we were packed and heading to the airport. After a 10-hour travel day, we finally arrived—about to meet our daughter for the very first time.

Meet Haven Nevaeh Lawson 🤍

We named her Haven because it’s our prayer that her life would be filled with safety, peace, and protection—that she would always know she can find security not only in our arms, but in the arms of God.

Her middle name, Nevaeh, was given to her by her birth mama, and we kept it to honor her bravery and the beautiful choice she made to choose life. Nevaeh is “heaven” spelled backward, so her full name carries this hope: safe in God’s presence, forever.

We’ve spent the last 9 days by her side in the NICU. It’s been physically and emotionally hard, but even in the unknown, we’ve seen God’s hand—His timing and His kindness.

Would you pray for our baby girl? Pray that she grows strong and healthy enough to come home soon, to a family and friends ready to surround her with love. Adoption is joy and heartbreak intertwined, but through it all, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. She is worth every moment.

One moment she was smiling at me... the next, her heart stopped 💔 Doctors still can’t explain it. She never opened her eyes again. My wife, Marcela, has been in a coma ever since.
They say her body is shutting down, piece by piece. They say she may not make it through the night. But I refuse to believe this is the end 🙏
I believe in miracles. I believe in the power of prayer. And I believe God still has a plan for her ❤️
Marcela poured her heart into everything — especially preparing for our twin boys 👶👶 Every detail of their nursery was made by her hands, with love and hope. She was so excited to meet them... and they need their mother.
She is my strength. My foundation. My whole world. I don’t know who I am without her. Please, if you’re reading this, pray for my wife 🙏 Pray that she wakes up. Pray that she holds our sons. Pray for a miracle ✨
