Low mood, hopelessness, and anxiety are symptoms of depression that can sometimes push people toward substance use as a way to cope. Over time, this can spiral into a cycle that intensifies both struggles.

Recognizing the link between depression and substance use is vital. Healthy strategies such as therapy, group support, and daily self-care can foster resilience.

This Mental Illness Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on the theme “My Mental Health at Work.”

Workplaces affect far more than productivity; they shape our sense of belonging and our overall well-being.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of stress, exhaustion, or burnout, you’re not alone. Let’s use this week to encourage safe, supportive environments where mental health is a shared priority. https://ow.ly/HkK850X79YO

Our Story

Duffy’s was founded in 1967 by Gene Duffy, whose personal experience with addiction recovery motivated him to create a place where others could receive the help they needed. Over the years, Duffy’s has grown from its humble beginnings to treat more than 38,000 individuals. Today, our integrated program continues to help people who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions along with various mental health concerns.

Many of the caring and compassionate professionals who lead our programs have also had personal experiences with recovery. Our staff is kindhearted, engaged, and dedicated to helping people recover, and they ensure that each guest who comes to us to heal truly feels that they belong. We treat each guest with the same dignity and respect we would our own families. When you or someone you care about recovers at Duffy’s, you join a family who truly care about your success.
