Our surroundings can shape how we feel more than we may notice. Creating a space that feels safe, calming, and supportive can help reduce stress and encourage overall well-being. Small changes like adding natural light, decluttering, or including comforting items can improve mood and support recovery.

March is Prescription Drug Awareness Month in California, bringing attention to the dangers of prescription drug misuse. Misuse can mean taking medication in a way other than directed, using someone else’s prescription, or taking it for non-medical reasons. Frequently misused drugs include opioids, stimulants, and benzodiazepines, which can raise the risk of dependence, overdose, and other serious health issues.

Prevention starts with following prescriptions carefully, storing medications securely, disposing of them properly, and speaking with a healthcare provider about any concerns. Early education and intervention play an important role in reducing harm. Learn more about prescription drug treatment here: https://ow.ly/wbXB50YqkYS

Our Story

Duffy’s was founded in 1967 by Gene Duffy, whose personal experience with addiction recovery motivated him to create a place where others could receive the help they needed. Over the years, Duffy’s has grown from its humble beginnings to treat more than 38,000 individuals. Today, our integrated program continues to help people who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions along with various mental health concerns.

Many of the caring and compassionate professionals who lead our programs have also had personal experiences with recovery. Our staff is kindhearted, engaged, and dedicated to helping people recover, and they ensure that each guest who comes to us to heal truly feels that they belong. We treat each guest with the same dignity and respect we would our own families. When you or someone you care about recovers at Duffy’s, you join a family who truly care about your success.
