Our Story
Hospice is a philosophy of caring for those with a life-threatening illness. Our trained professionals and volunteers focus on patient and family-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual and practical needs of the patient. Hospice of St. Mary’s cares for patients in a variety of settings: home, nursing homes, assisted living centers and the Hospice House. The goal of hospice services is best expressed in the words of modern-day hospice founder Dame Cicely Saunders: "You matter because you are you. You matter to the last moment of your life. We will do all we can, not only to help you die in peace, but also to live until you die."
Our aim is to help people live their last days in dignity, with a maximum of comfort, and in the loving care and company of family and friends. Hospice of St. Mary’s also provides bereavement services to families. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible. Donations are also accepted through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC# 97930).
