Dr. Heng’s philosophy in his practice is Patient Driven Healthcare delivered with empathy and compassion. To this end, he believes in allowing patients to make choices about their own care, while providing the counseling and information on the choices they make. Dr. Heng strongly believes in preventive care and will provide extensive counseling to patients about life style changes to enhance their health without resorting to use of multiple drugs. Madalene Heng, MD, FRACP, FACD, FAAD is Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine. She is Board Certified Dermatologist. From 1979 to 2003, she was Chief, Division of Dermatology, UCLA San Fernando Valley Medicine Program. For the last 10 years, she has been in private practice in Ventura County. She is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Journal of Geriatric Medicine, British Journal of Dermatology, Lancet, London, and International Journal of Angiology. With more than 140 scientific publications, including 78 published peer-reviewed articles on topics such as phosphorylase kinase activity and psoriasis, pathophysiology of disease, and wound healing, she is able to link treatment of diseases to their etiology at the basic science level. Dr. Heng believes that skin health can be acheived by not only making important product choices, but lifestyle choices as well.
