California Skin Institute (CSI) began as a solo dermatologic surgery practice in Mountain View, California, by Dr. Morganroth. He envisioned a company where doctors could be doctors without worrying about the business side of private practice. Our board-certified dermatologists, Ryan Wells, M.D. and, Gerald Karpman, M.D., and dermatology-focused nurse practitioners, Jeanine Ishak, N.P. and Katie Frederickson, N.P., will ensure that you receive the very best care possible. We diagnose and treat the full spectrum of skin diseases, including rashes, eczema/dermatitis, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, warts, skin cancers and more. All of our medical practitioners are extremely competent skin surgeons. We surgically remove most benign skin growths, like abnormal moles, cysts and lipomas (fatty growths), as well as skin cancers, under local anesthetic in a safe, sterile environment. Mohs Micrographic surgery is considered the most effective treatment to remove many types of skin cancer, including basal and squamous cell carcinomas. The Mohs technique has the highest cure rate of any treatment for these types of skin cancer. The procedure includes a microscopic examination of tissue to identify and ensure all cancerous cells are removed. The microscopic examination also ensures that as few non-cancerous cells are removed as possible, allowing for a more cosmetically acceptable repair than traditional surgery. We offer a wide selection of cosmetic dermatology procedures to help you reverse the effects of skin aging and maintain beautiful and healthy skin.
