Proposition 1, passed in 2024, will impact mental health and substance use services in our community. Community planning meetings are happening soon, and we want to hear your voice.

☀️ With the recent heatwave that hit our county, we want to remind everyone to stay safe and take precautions against the heat. 🌡️

-Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water throughout the day
-Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
-Avoid going out during peak heat hours (10am–4pm)
-Never leave children or pets inside a parked car
-Check on elderly family members and neighbors

Let’s take care of ourselves and each other during these high temperatures. 💙

¡Otro jueves productivo en nuestro grupo de apoyo en español! 🙌 Cada tercer jueves del mes nos reunimos para conversar sobre temas importantes como el duelo y la pérdida, la ansiedad por el regreso a clases, el autocuidado ahora que los pequeños regresan a la escuela, y preocupaciones de inmigración.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of participating in Ventura County Probation’s annual Back-to-School event. 🎒✨ Over 80 youth received backpacks filled with school supplies, free haircuts, meals, and refreshments—all while connecting with amazing community partners offering valuable resources and support.
We’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful event that helps empower youth and families as they prepare for a successful school year! 💙

A principios de este mes, tuvimos el privilegio de participar en el evento anual de Regreso a Clases del Departamento de Libertad Condicional del Condado de Ventura. 🎒✨ Más de 80 jóvenes recibieron mochilas con útiles escolares, cortes de cabello gratuitos, comidas y refrigerios, además de la oportunidad de conectarse con increíbles socios comunitarios que ofrecen recursos y apoyo valioso.

Let's gather for a "Day at the Park" and create unforgettable memories with our ASD Community in Ventura County! Autism Society Ventura County invites ASD families to "Day at the Park" to celebrate on Saturday, Sept. 6th (10 AM - 1 PM) at the Old Meadows Park in Thousand Oaks!

There will be Fun Sensory Activities, Adaptive Golf by Recovery Shot Healing through Golf, Giant Bubbles, Bouncy Obstacle Course, Face Painter, Arts & Crafts Activities, STEM Activities, AMR Ambulance "Touch A Truck", ASVC Resource booth and more!
