United Parents is seeking a passionate, organized Educational Advocate to help Ventura County families navigate special education services, including IEPs and 504 Plans.

✅ $26/hour + benefits + potential annual bonus
✅ One-year contract with option for a 2-year extension or transition to other positions

🎆 Independence Day can be overwhelming for individuals with sensory sensitivities—especially with loud fireworks, bright lights, and crowded gatherings.

Here are a few tips to help make the 4th of July more comfortable and inclusive for everyone! 💙❤️

• Use noise-canceling headphones or earplugs
• Watch fireworks from a distance or on a screen
• Create a quiet, calming space nearby
• Bring comfort items like fidget toys or weighted blankets
• Plan an exit strategy in case it gets overwhelming

⛵️⚓ Adventure Sail Day is back!
Girls ages 9–14 are invited to join the Channel Islands Women’s Sailing Association (CIWSA) for a fun, free, and empowering day of sailing, history, and hands-on learning!

In partnership with Mystic Ocean Adventures, the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, and the Channel Islands Yacht Club, this exciting event introduces girls to the world of sailing, environmental stewardship, and maritime careers—all while surrounded by inspiring women in the field.

From goody bags and t-shirts to setting sail on the Mystic Whaler, this is a day full of confidence-building, new experiences, and lasting memories on the water! 🌊

The Student Training and Employment Program (STEP) is offering paid employment opportunities for youth ages 16–21 who are eligible for and receiving educational accommodations or have an IEP.

Participants will receive:
✅ Employment preparation workshops
✅ Resume building
✅ Financial literacy education
✅ Interview practice
✅ Customer service certification
💼 Up to 130 hours of paid work experience
💰 A $200 stipend for completing the prep training

Our recent respite event at Golf N’ Stuff was a total hit! 🎉 The kids enjoyed an afternoon full of pizza, arcade games, rides, and nonstop fun. 🍕🎮🎢 It was a great way to give parents a break while the kids made awesome memories. Can’t wait for the next one!
