🎙 Behind the Mic at Fire Your Doctor

What does it really take to create a podcast and write a book at the same time?
A lot of prayer, caffeine, and creative chaos. ☕😅

Most of Fire Your Doctor was written and recorded in our basement office — often at 4 or 5 a.m. when the world (and our kids) were still asleep. Tea for me, coffee for Rich, and yes… a rooster named Roy (RIP 🐓) who can be clearly heard in a few of the early episodes.

We had kids sneaking into the studio, the occasional stomp overhead, and more retakes than we’d like to admit — but that’s real life. And that’s the heart of Fire Your Doctor: real stories, real healing, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

After years of dreaming, writing, recording, editing, and even re-recording when our rooster Roy (RIP 🐓) decided to crow in the middle of things — we can finally say it:

This project has been such a labor of love. I (Dani) usually wrote in the early mornings with tea in hand while Richard ran on coffee. We laughed, cried, lost count of drafts, and at one point had to negotiate with our kids to stay quiet upstairs so we could record.
