 it’s about staying out of pain.

And let’s be clear:
I’m not talking about clamshells, light bands, or “activation” forever.
I’m talking about real, functional resistance training that challenges the tissue, builds capacity, and actually makes the muscles fatigue the way they’re supposed to.

Pain doesn’t usually come from doing “too much.”
It comes from doing more than your body is prepared for.

Strength is what closes that gap.
It’s what keeps you durable.
It’s what allows you to run, lift, jump, compete, and live with fewer setbacks.

If you want longevity—in sport or in life—strength training isn’t optional.
It’s foundational.

And if your PT plan doesn’t include it?
You’re not getting the full picture.

I get it — it’s really hard to feel like you’re getting everything right when you’re trying to conceive.
Hormones, timing, nutrition, stress
 it’s a lot.
And honestly? That’s why it feels like such a miracle when everything does go right.

These are a few things that helped me most:
✹ Prioritizing plant-based protein (more than I ever expected)
✹ Letting go of the obsession and learning to genuinely relax
✹ A cozy, slow trip to visit family friends in the fall — no pressure, just peace
✹ And using apps like and that helped me finally understand what was going on inside my body — from hormones to nutrition to ovulation

And maybe most importantly, one simple piece of advice from a friend that I’ll never forget:
“Trust the process, the baby you end up having is the baby you were meant to have.”

It changed everything. đŸ©”

The way you hold tension in your face often mirrors how you hold tension in your pelvic floor.

Practicing release during intensity (like a burning wall sit!) trains your body to stay open and grounded—just like you’ll need during labor.

Strong legs.
Soft jaw.
Open pelvis.
