Happy 4th of July!
Fireworks can be extremely stressful for our veterans, people with PTSD, and anyone who may have sensory issues.
There are a few things you can do to help stay regulated during the holiday:
- try to block out the noise with ear protection and music
- use mindfulness and grounding techniques
- leave the area if possible
- lean on your support network to get through it

If you plan to celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, please be safe and respectful of combat Veterans who might live near you. For some, unexpected fireworks at odd hours can trigger PTSD.
