From a tiny corner desk two years ago…

I could never have imagined guiding hundreds of CKD warriors today 🥹

I’ve been a renal dietitian for 8 years, working with patients in clinics and dialysis centers.

But starting my own practice, with my own philosophy and vision, was a completely different journey.

No more outdated handouts. No more one-size-fits-all advice.

Now, I get to have real conversations with people… understand their lives, their goals, their fears…

and create nutrition strategies that actually work for them 😊

I see your courage, your struggles, your tears, your laughter, your small wins, and your BIG victories

and each one moves me more than words can say 💚

Thank you for trusting me, for letting me walk alongside you

And for being here with me every step of the way 🙏

Friendly PSA: creatinine ≠ creatine (they are not the same thing)…

and are you still calling albumin “aluminum”? 🙈

Before you jump into a one-size-fits-all renal diet, take time to actually understand your CKD and what your kidneys are doing.

Save this for the next time you get labs done ✅

ONE thing that could do more harm than good if you have kidney disease:

Cutting out ALL high-potassium foods.

Here’s why👇🏼

🔗 Most people in the earlier stages of CKD don’t actually have high potassium levels.

🍌 Foods like fruits and vegetables—often higher in potassium—are good for your kidneys.

They help lower blood pressure and control blood sugar, both of which can slow the progression of kidney disease.

🥗 Plant-based foods (which are often labeled “high potassium”) have a negative PRAL (potential renal acid load), which supports your kidneys’ acid-base balance.

If you do have high potassium, don’t panic:

💩 Check if you’re constipated—it can easily raise potassium.

💊 Look at medications—some can increase your levels.

🍅 Even then, cutting out all high-potassium foods isn’t the answer.

With the right approach, you can keep your potassium levels in check and slow kidney disease without unnecessary restrictions.
