My full time practice is located within Lighthouse Child & Family Services in Cambridge, Minnesota. I provide Diagnostic Assessments from birth through adulthood as an opportunity to get to know one another and build a strong therapeutic relationship from the moment you walk through the door. During this assessment, we talk through your or your child’s history, assess past and current symptoms, an

d develop a thoughtful and appropriate diagnosis that can lead to more effective treatment. From there, I utilize an eclectic and evidence-based therapy style which provides support for clients with a vast array of mental health needs. Training and Expertise: I have extensive training in early childhood mental health services and offer therapy for infants through adolescents using Play Therapy, Theraplay, Attachment & Bio Behavioral Catch Up, and parenting education & support. Additionally, I facilitate Multi-Family Group Adolesdent DBT, and individual therapy for teens and adults. Credentials and Supervision: I am a Minnesota Board approved Supervisor for interns and clinical trainees on licensure track for LPC/LPCC. I am also an Association for Play Therapy approved Registered Play Therapy Supervisor and can provide supervision to those seeking RPT credentials. Presentations and Webinars: I have experience providing in-services and professional development to educators, public health nurses, county social workers, law enforcement, and business safety/mental health trainings, as well as parenting presentations and webinars. Welcome, and congratulations on taking the first step toward emotional wellness. My name is Elizabeth Szybatka and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist in the state of Minnesota. I am passionate about supporting children and families through change by providing individual and family therapy, play therapy, attachment-focused therapy, and parenting support.

I have been in the mental health field for 10 years, but throughout my lifetime have become an advocate for healthy attachment and early intervention. As a mental health professional, I’ve become specialized in developmental trauma, identifying and treating insecure attachment, and providing training and intervention support to other professionals including fellow therapists, educators, social workers, public health nurses, and childcare providers.
