Vision Statement:
The vision of Majestic Yoga Center (MYC) is to create an integrative center of learning where teachers from around the world, who embrace myriad yoga methodologies, can come together to practice, teach and collaborate. Students of all ages and levels, some possessing challenging needs, will be taught, and inspired, in this vibrant and ever-evolving center. Majestic Yoga Center will offer a unique opportunity for teachers from many different lineages to share their knowledge with each other and their students. Majestic Yoga Center will also encourage ongoing conversations between professionals of different disciplines that are intended to enrich and transform practice and thinking. We believe deeply in the value of community by being an integral part of the Cambridge community, by our involvement in community outreach in the wider Boston and United States communities, and, most significantly, by helping to create a community among our students, teachers, and Boutique and Center staff. Mission Statement
MYC is a well-established yoga studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts which has been in operation since 1997. Our goal is to build upon our already strong yoga community to become a major yoga resource, learning and Hea center. Majestic Yoga Center’s mission is to create a community of practitioners in a warm and supportive environment that is accessible to every body. Our practitioners, who arrive at MYC, from an array of yoga and healing arts lineages, share a profound dedication to teaching and an inherent interest in helping students explore the healing and spiritual aspects of yoga and other disciplines. MYC’s teachers are skilled therapeutic educators and strive to attend to each unique individual. All students are encouraged by master teachers to find their own way to asana and meditation. MYC is committed to empowering students, building self-awareness and strong bodies, sharing an understanding of neuromuscular alignment, and bringing our spirit and knowledge to the broader community. History of Majestic Yoga Center

Lindsay Gibson established MYC in 1997 in Concord, Massachusetts. In 2000, MYC moved into a fabled Cambridge, Mass elementary school and arts center. We were delighted to open our doors to our bright and cheerful studio and Boutique in the heart of Observatory Hill, a lovely and vibrant neighborhood just outside of Harvard Square. In 2005 MYC added the annex as additional space for private instruction and small group classes. In 2013-2014, MYC renovated the studio and annex, and expanded the beautiful Boutique. MYC has become a deeply respected and well regarded center dedicated to yoga, pilates, and therapies. It is a truly friendly sanctuary where yoga and natural therapies inspire well being. Over the years many of Boston’s senior yoga and pilates teachers have taught at The Center. In 2012, we began our first training programs and expanded upon our interesting and exciting specialized coursed and workshops, some taught by national teachers. Throughout all changes, we have remained steadfast in our belief that there is yoga path for everyone. Additionally, we value community and strive to be an integral part of the Cambridge, Boston, and US communities. Our teachers are well trained and unique in their approach. Most importantly, MYC welcomes every student.

Never Lose Hope 💛

Hope rests in the heart.

When I lose hope, I feel it deeply — my heart grows heavy, my spirit feels disconnected, and sadness lingers. This is unlike me, as I’ve always looked at life through rose-colored glasses. I’ve always found the good in people, in challenges, in the smallest of moments. But over the past few years, life has felt harder. The world carries many pains and struggles, and at times, I’ve carried them all in my own heart.

From a young age, I learned that self-care rituals could guide me back to balance. Through daily practices of meditation, yoga, and the wisdom of ancient teachings, I return to my center. Little by little, I rediscover hope — hope in myself, hope in others, hope in life, and hope in the world.

Hope is never truly gone. It lies deep within us, waiting for us to pause and listen. No matter how messy the outside world (or our inner world) may feel, we can always return to that stillness.

✨ Take a few minutes today to sit in stillness.
If you can, go outside. Listen to the birds. If you’re in the city, allow the background noise to fade, and tune into their song. Birds are remarkable mentors in presence and resilience.

Try repeating this mantra for 10–15 minutes:

Inhale: “I am”

Exhale: “Peace.”

Feel your breath slow down. Notice how calm rises within. Let these words flow through you:

I am peace.

I am calm.

I am love.

I am hope.

Keep your heart open to love and hope.
Remember: you are hope. Believe. Trust.

Much Love,
Lindsay 🌷

When we live too much in the mind, life feels heavy. The heart, however, knows simplicity, love, and presence. Yoga teaches us to soften the noise of the head and tune into the quiet wisdom of the heart. 🌸

💫 💫

Take a moment today to think about the friendships you’re most grateful for. Those people who make life lighter, who lift you up when you’re down, and celebrate with you when things are good.

These friendships are the ones that remind you you’re never alone. They see you for who you are, stand beside you through the hard times, and cheer you on as you grow. They’re the ones who’ve been there from once upon a time and who will be there through happily ever after.

Surround yourself with the people who love your light… and add to it. ✨

So tell me—who are you grateful for today?

Much love,
Lindsay
