MIT Physical Education & Wellness Office Welcome to the MIT Physical Education and Wellness page! We provide info about our courses, Courses generally meet twice a week for 40 minutes.

Our office offers a variety of physical education courses for undergraduate students to complete the swim requirement and the 8 point General Institute Requirement. The swim requirement can be met by completing a beginner swim course or electing to test out. The program administers over 40 different instructional activities beginning every six weeks during the academic year. Students are expected

to complete the Physical Education General Institute Requirement by end of their second year. If you have concerns about completing the General Institute Requirement by the end of your 2nd year, please contact the physical education office at mitpe@mit.edu.

We tend to underestimate how small improvements add up. If you get 1% better at something every day, that doesn't feel like much. You might not even notice it at first. Keep at it, and progress becomes remarkable though. 1% better each day means 37x better after one year
