Emerge: Counseling and Education to Stop Domestic Violence Emerge provides group educational sessions for perpetrators of harmful behavior in relationships. Emerge provides services in English and Spanish.

The first abuser education (batterer intervention) program in the world, Emerge conducts group counseling services in Cambridge, MA and conducts trainings on using the Emerge model around the world. This includes, but is not limited to, physical assault, intimidation, verbal abuse, controlling and alienating behavior, and other actions that may harm or destroy intimate relationships. Emerge also c

onducts Caring Dad groups and Anger Management sessions for general (non-intimate partner) violence. Emerge conducts an Introductory Training in the Boston area three times per year, and an Advanced Group Skills training twice per year. Emerge has conducted trainings to teach methods of intervention for abusive behavior in over 44 states and 22 countries. When conducting an event outside of Massachusetts, Emerge is able to tailor a training to suit a specific agency’s needs. Counseling Abusers: A Three-day Introductory Training
September 22-24, 2021

This course is intended for anyone working with families affected by domestic violence. This course is especially useful for those who wish to become Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program (IPAEP) group facilitators.
