National CHW Awareness Week is finally here! CHW Awareness Week was created and coordinated by the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW) to encourage community health workers and allies across the U.S. to celebrate, commemorate, and collaborate with each other and to raise awareness of the diversity of the community health worker profession, workforce, and movement. In honor of National CHW Awareness Week, which takes place from August 25-29, Delegate Tom Hutchinson visited the ESAHEC office to present a citation recognizing the incredible work that community health workers do across the Eastern Shore. This week and every week, we pay tribute to community health workers right here on the Eastern Shore.
