This is the time of year when I feel the best. As much as I love the summer, it takes a lot to stay cool and calm—I tend to operate from “frustrated” or “agitated”. In mid- to late- August I start to feel lighter. More spacious. Ayurveda helped me to understand this better but I always knew it—I just couldn’t always explain it. As we enter vata season this spaciousness may present as unease for you. Things might feel swirly or erratic. Life in this country in 2025 surely doesn’t help. Do your best to root. Nurture. Nourish. Stay warm. Routine helps. As does time in nature. Here are a few moments from my bike ride and walk earlier—even looking at nature can help. Take care of yourself. The world needs you.
