With over 50 years of experience as a psychologist, family systems therapist,
and adoption specialist, I work with individuals, couples, families, and
professionals who want to understand their stories and move toward greater
clarity and connection.

Adoption and Complex Families
I am a pioneer in Adoption and Mental Health, working with all members of the adoption constellation—birth and adoptive parents, adoptees, siblings, and extended family.
I also work with many other complex family constellations, including foster and step families, kinship care, donor conception, surrogacy, DNA surprises (MPE/NPE), and family businesses where relationships and roles can be especially layered.
Ways we can work together
You can choose the kind of support that fits where you are right now:
• Consultations: One to six sessions (or ongoing) to clarify a specific situation or question.
• Coaching: Weekly, monthly, or as needed—parent coaching, personal growth coaching, or professional coaching.
• “A Course on Yourself”: Weekly sessions focused on your own story, patterns, and growth, moving toward your own integration
• Consultation for Therapists: Support for clinicians who want to deepen adoption competence or better understand complex families.
• Family sessions: Work with parents or adult children together, or alongside your existing therapist.
• Collaborative sessions: Meetings that include your therapist, attorney, or psychopharmacologist when helpful.
• Professional training: One-on-one training/supervision for professionals who want to become truly adoption competent.
• Clinical mediation: Support around open adoption, divorce, step-parenting, difficult family matters, or family businesses.
