This week, our residents got a special visit from Rainey the horse, courtesy of Absolute Home Health & Hospice. Rainey brought lots of smiles to the residents, and we hope to have Rainey back for another visit soon. Thank you to the Absolute team for making the residents’ day!

Meet our July Employee of the Month… Amber!

Amber Miller is our receptionist and also helps out in activities. During her 2 years as a part of our team, Amber has enjoyed building relationships with the residents and watching them succeed. Her motivation to come to work every day is being able to be a part of a great team and work environment. When asked what advice she would give to new employees joining the team, Amber stated, “Smile. You never know if someone’s having a rough day. Your smile could change someone’s day.

Amber has a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. A fun fact about Amber is that her favorite food is Mexican!

We are so thankful to have Amber as a part of our team, and we can’t wait to see what her future has in store for her. Congratulations, Amber! 💙

Last week, our staff were treated to blueberry muffins and assorted juice as a token of our appreciation. Thank you to our amazing Staff Coordinator, Mollie, for providing this wonderful treat to everyone!

Last week, some of our residents were treated to an ice cream outing. They were transported to Dairy Queen where they were able to choose what they wanted. The residents loved this afternoon out in the community, spending time with one another. 🍦

Billie and Robert have supported our operations from behind the scenes with unwavering commitment, innovation, and expertise. Their contributions have powered our progress and helped shape the systems we rely on every day.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated National CNA Week. Our CNAs were treated to a week of sweet treats and fun themes: Donut Day, Hat Day, Twin Day, Wacky Socks Day, Pizza Day, and Jersey Day. Throughout the week, they received gifts and were entered into additional raffles. Thank you to all of our dedicated CNAs for your hard work and attention to our residents. 💙

Our residents were once again excited for a successful gardening season! In preparation, the residents decided what plants they wanted to plant this year, and which raised bed to put them in. Everyone had a blast enjoying the sunshine, getting their hands dirty, and spending time with one another! 🌱🌷

Last week, Altercare Cambridge was delighted to assist the Guernsey County Senior Citizen Center with their 2025 Cambridge City Picnic in the Park! The seniors that attended enjoyed a picnic style meal, entertainment and many door prizes. It was a pleasure to be a part of this special day.
