Hi HackMeders, we need your help announcing a new virtual $100K Global Refugee Health and Displaced Children Hackathon starting up next week and continuing for 10 consecutive Saturday 11 am ET livestreams.
Calling on teachers, hackers, and healthcare folks β If you are frustrated by the world conflicts and their effects on refugees and child education, this community will give you hope and problems you can help solve with technology. We would love you all to participate! We are also recruiting HackMed Ambassadors at medical schools and universities who can help get the word out on campuses and help teams assemble and prototype IRL on campuses. Interested ambassadors should WhatsApp +1-617-800-0340 with your linkedin or CV.
Sign up at https://mithackmedicine-refugee-hackathon.mn.co to witness the teams and learn about the problems we hope to fix with technology, empathy, and small focused teams of volunteers from universities and medical schools across the world. Refugee crises and disasters currently ongoing in Gaza, Ukraine, Congo, Yemen, Venezuela, Myanmar, Sudan will benefit from the solutions birthed at this event.
We welcome NGOs to post problems from the front lines of refugee healthcare and showcase solutions that already exist, all for FREE. This will be a rolling hackathon that continues until the Final Prizes awarded on Memorial Day May 27. Those of you observing Ramadan can join during or after and catch up!
Thanks for reposting in your channels and alerting students and healthcare professionals to this new hackathon and community!
